This 2010 is 10 years since I edited under the name of Maiki my musical experiences.
I’ve never been someone who looks back, but I think maybe this time is to find a fulcrum for the next jump. The ideas have never stopped emerge, and watching what I did, I realize I’ve gone through many different sonic interests, but is a constant feeling when I hear this material again: I feel the fun creating it.
Part are not big productions at the technical level (the tools have evolved regarding homestudios with what I have always worked) but regardless of technical quality, I always had the feeling of being a participant in an experience in wich I didn’t have all the control. And that has never been a problem but certainly a blessing. It was (and it is!) the best part, I never wanted to have total control. I believe that creativity is the combination of rational experimentation and unforeseen accident. If everything is completely mechanical and rational, where is the fun? The surprise?
In this sense, I hope to continue researching, enjoying myself and, with luck: finding. I hope you enjoy the collection too, that contains a few surprises (an updated version of a song from my first band Hutts and a remixed session with some of my material from these years).
